Marrying Mom
Marrying Mom is a sharp social comedy centered on three spoiled, self-absorbed adult siblings: Pru, Garth, and Ronnie. Their wealthy, recently divorced mother, Phyllis, finds unexpected happiness with Micky, a charming, younger man who works as a dog walker. The siblings are immediately convinced Micky is nothing more than a manipulative gold-digger aiming to steal their inheritance. United by panic and greed, the three adults launch a series of elaborate, cruel, and often comical schemes to sabotage their mother's relationship. The novel follows the chaos that ensues as the siblings' desperate maneuvers backfire, forcing them to confront their own dysfunctional relationships with money, loyalty, and their mother, revealing the moral bankruptcy lurking beneath their affluent veneer.
