Skeletons

Kate Wilhelm - Personal Name;

Skeletons follows the story of Dr. Drew McVay, a highly respected forensic psychologist. After the death of her beloved grandmother, Drew returns to her small, isolated Oregon hometown to settle the estate. While cleaning out an old woodshed, Drew makes a shocking discovery: a human skeleton buried beneath the floorboards. The discovery forces the immediate reopening of a 20-year-old unsolved disappearance of a local woman. As Drew becomes deeply involved in the investigation, she finds herself not only using her professional skills but also being forced to confront the secrets, lies, and "skeletons"—both literal and figurative—that her own seemingly normal, tight-knit family has desperately tried to keep buried.
