Rainbow In The Mist

Phyllis A. Whitney - Personal Name;

Rainbow In The Mist centers on Christy York, a young woman with the unique, secret ability to see people's auras, which reveal their true emotional state and darkness. Christy is hired as a private secretary to a wealthy, eccentric family living in an isolated, mist-shrouded mansion in the Virginia countryside. Soon after her arrival, Christy’s psychic gifts alert her to the estate’s dark past: she sees disturbing, troubled auras and senses a connection to a long-ago, unsolved murder that the family is desperate to keep quiet. As she navigates the mansion's secretive occupants and a palpable sense of danger, Christy realizes she is being targeted by someone who does not want the past revealed. She must race to interpret the hidden meanings of the auras to uncover the truth and identify the killer, all while confronting her own growing, passionate attraction to one of the central figures in the mystery.
